The C.A.T4 and Genny4 products provide a comprehensive range of cable avoidance tools to help professionals drive best practice, reduce cable strikes and dig safer. The Genny4 generates signals on two frequencies simultaneously and the C.A.T4 detects these two frequencies simultaneously to provide greater confidence in finding all buried services without adding complexity for the user.

Patented Genny4 transmitter

Genny4’s patented simultaneous dual frequency signal output facilitates the location of small diameter cables such as telecoms and street lighting, including spurs. All C.A.T4 locator models feature patented technology to detect both signals simultaneously. The power boost function in Genny4 enables the locating signal to travel further and deeper, and to couple more easily to utilities.

Improve safety and reduce strikes

Small Cable Locate – Dual Frequency Locating Simultaneous dual frequency and simple locating methods help C.A.T4 and Genny4 users to locate small diameter cables such as telecom twisted pairs, spurs and drop-offs, which have historically been difficult to locate and a common strike risk.

Avoidance mode

Sweep an area simultaneously using power, radio and Genny signals to save time. C.A.T4 allows the operator to control the sensitivity of each mode/signal, allowing buried utilities to be located in a single pass, while Real Sound provides audio feedback directly from the located utility, facilitating identification to maximise speed while maintaining safety.
