SuperCAT4

The SuperCAT4+ series of cable locators and transmitters use a selection of passive, active and sonde frequencies intended for specific industry sectors. Because Radiodetections familiar C.A.T controls and display are used, minimal training is required to use these advanced capabilities.

Tracing different cable types in diverse conditions

SuperCAT4+ can be used to search a wide range of active frequencies to support the detection and tracking of different cable types in a variety of conditions. Higher frequencies, such as 131kHz or 65kHz, can be used to search for well-insulated utility lines such as twisted pair telecom cables or insulated conduit seams. Lower frequency options are available for long-distance locating of lower resistance cables such as power lines.

Safer digging with StrikeAlert

StrikeAlert alerts the operator about the possible presence of shallow lying cables and utility lines in both power mode and active pipe mode. Although work processes and guidelines require power cables to be below a certain depth, unexpectedly shallow cables are a common cause of cable strikes.

SuperCAT4 CPS model

The CPS model can find the rectified cathodic protection signal on oil and gas pipelines without connecting an additional transmitter.

SuperCAT4 S-model

The S model finds a range of sonde frequencies suitable for searching water and drainage pipelines. A lower-frequency probe is useful for finding deeply buried cast-iron pipelines. Higher-frequency probes are easier to distinguish in urban environments with electronic noise.
