The challenge in modern agriculture
Why precision work does not always remain precise
Plot boundaries, AB lines, and prescription maps are not always created or read with the same settings. A different tractor, terminal, or driver can be enough to cause a few centimeters of difference. This may seem minor, but over dozens of hectares, it means driving extra meters, double overlaps, or strips that must be redone later.
When lines and output files do not align exactly, you must constantly correct. This costs fuel, wastes seed and fertilizer, and disrupts the uniformity of the operation. This inaccuracy ultimately results in variation in crop density and a less predictable yield.
Better workflows for data collection, planning, and execution
You record plot boundaries and lines unambiguously, translate them directly into prescription maps, and perform operations with the same precision. This prevents extra meters, saves seed, fertilizer, and fuel, and allows you to get more out of every hectare.
Unambiguous collection of plot boundaries and lines
With fixed references, RTK corrections, and uniform measurement settings, you always record plot boundaries and AB lines in the same way. As a result, all your machines use the same basis, regardless of who is driving or which terminal is in the cab.
Directly applicable for tractor steering
AB lines are created from a single source and align exactly with your plot. The tractor follows every pass without shifting, overlap, or empty strips. This saves diesel, seed, and fertilizer during every operation.
Less waste per hectare
By finishing every row consistently, you achieve an even distribution of seed, fertilizer, and crop protection. Your input is used effectively, crop density becomes more stable, and you achieve higher yields from the same hectares without additional resources.
Our solutions for agriculture
Our systems support you from recording plot data to execution on the tractor. Hardware, software, and work protocols form a single line, ensuring that planning, routes, and operations remain predictable. Per plot, per machine, and regardless of who is driving.
Featured solutions for agriculture
Everything you need for accurate plot data and reliable tractor steering.
Geodirect offers various systems that suit your field operations: visual guidance and automatic steering modules. With visual guidance, you follow the reference lines on the display without manual estimation or correction. With automatic steering, the system takes over steering completely, and the tractor drives every row exactly according to the AB line or pattern, regardless of the driver or plot shape. The systems are installed on your machine and fully configured. You choose the pattern, set your reference, and start working immediately. The GNSS receivers provide centimeter precision, ensuring every operation is correct the first time: from sowing and fertilizing to spraying and harvesting. You drive fewer meters, use fewer inputs, and achieve a higher return from the same hectares.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the most common questions about our solutions and how they fit into your workflow.
Do your systems work on my tractor?
Yes. Our steering and guidance systems work on every tractor, regardless of brand, age, or technology. Whether via CAN bus, hydraulic control, or electric motors, there is always a suitable solution. In Belgium, hydraulic variants are even frequently eligible for subsidies, making the investment even more attractive. We work with you to determine which option is most logical technically and financially.
Aren't cheap GPS systems the same?
At first glance, it may sometimes seem that way, until you use them daily. The differences become apparent in the functions you actually need in the field. A good system supports ISOBUS connectivity with implements, can manage and exchange AB lines between plots, and offers virtual section control to prevent overlap without expensive additional modules. Furthermore, it must be easy to transfer between tractors, work independently of the brand, and withstand intensive use. These are the points where basic or cheap systems often fall short. Our solutions combine a competitive price with features you should expect when you are serious about precision farming.
Are your systems truly comparable to the expensive brands?
We get this question often, and it is understandable. For years, a small number of brands were the standard in high-end GPS steering. This has shifted in recent years. The quality of modern precision systems has improved so much that performance is at least the same and often even more advanced. In practice, we see our systems being used as full RTK systems on tractors that did not yet have GPS, as a second system alongside more expensive brands where AB lines are simply exchanged, or as a way to implement precision farming company-wide without paying a premium. All this comes with service and support included as standard, without extra modules or hidden subscriptions.
Can you help with references, AB lines, and settings?
Yes. We set up RTK corrections, reference points, line settings, and work profiles together with you. This ensures every tractor drives the same row, regardless of the driver, plot shape, or type of terminal. You don’t have to constantly steer in the field, keeping operations predictable and ensuring resources like seed, fertilizer, and fuel are used more efficiently.
